PHYSICAL THERAPY
Sessions are one-on-one, so just you and Dr. Tiffany Shipp every time. Physician referrals are accepted, but not necessary. Dr. Shipp uses a variety of techniques and approaches in her treatments. Your treatment will depend upon your specific problem, goals for therapy, and which techniques you are comfortable receiving.
Every session will likely be a little different because as you progress, so do your therapy sessions. You will never be sent off to do your exercises, meaning sessions will be 100% interactive and therapist guided.
INTERESTED IN STOP AND GO TREATMENTS?
You do not need a referral and your health insurance isn’t being billed. As such, there is no mandate on how many times you need to be seen or when those visits need to happen. Your sessions can be “as needed” and occur in whatever time frame you and Dr. Shipp decide upon.
CONDITIONS AND PATIENT POPULATION
Physical therapy services are offered for a multitude of musculoskeletal conditions. If you have musculoskeletal pain or headaches, you will likely benefit from treatment. Click HERE to see a list of specialties and examples of specific conditions she treats.
As an experienced outpatient therapist, Dr. Tiffany Shipp works with and welcomes a variety of patients–from the everyday person who has pain and just wants to get back to school/work to competitive athletes. She treats a wide array of ages, from children as young as 8, to adults as senior as 100. She frequently rehabilitates a multitude of athletes (i.e. high school, collegiate, weekend warriors, gymnasts, crossfit, martial arts) and the generally active person.
DRY NEEDLING
Dry needling can be done as part of your regular physical therapy sessions. Alternatively, if you are not interested in following an exercise program or regular sessions, you can choose dry needling only. With this selection, you will still receive optional stretches/exercises to do at home that will compliment the effects of the dry needling. Treatment, however, will focus on dry needling and any other manual therapy you would like that Dr. Shipp deems appropriate.
GUIDED EXERCISE OR PERSONAL TRAINING
This is a great option if you no longer need hands-on treatment, but want to learn how to go through your gym routine without injuring yourself. If you have a condition, a prior injury, or just need a knowledgeable person to guide you through exercise, your physical therapy can be gym-based.
